About

Hi, I’m Marion

Pleased to meet you!

This is a work in progress, and I’m still learning this web editor, so please be patient. Here you’ll find the writing I’ve been doing over the last few years, and that I will be doing over the next few years. I contemplated starting a newsletter, and maybe I will someday, but for now I just want to share the writing I do, in an attempt to get better at it. Plus, I’ve struggled for years with imposter syndrome, much longer, in fact, than I’ve known there was a term for it. So, I decided, since I’ve been completing my undergrad, and doing a lot of writing, I should publish it for someone besides my professors to read. Right now, I’m sure, I’m just writing into the void, but who knows what another year will bring.

Below, you’ll find links to the categories on the site. Reading Reflections are a new thing I’m trying, where each day, I write–quite informally–about the reading I have done that day. I’ve just set up my habit tracker in the hopes that I’ll stick with it, but honestly, I can’t promise daily posts, or even daily reading. Once the school semester starts, my schedule gets crowded. We’ll see how it goes. If nothing else, maybe the readers of this site will get some good book recommendations.

My History Homework section is self-explanatory. Even I can see an improvement in my writing over the last couple of years, which is what has encouraged me to publish my old homework. Nothing I publish here is still pending a grade. There will be some lag time before you see what I’m up to this semester, just depending on how quickly or slowly assignment get graded. I’ll summarize my class notes here in the meantime. That will help me remember and better understand what I’m learning.

Stay tuned, if you will. And at some point I’ll add my resume, because I will be looking for a new job soon. Once if figure out how to make this site pretty, I hope this can be a sort of portfolio, along with my other writings. For now, click on the links below to find my homework, and my reflections. And, if you want to help me save for graduate school, you can Buy Me a Coffee below as well. Thanks!
